About & FAQ's

Artwork

What is the best format for my artwork?

300dpi .png file saved CMYK and to size is the perfect file for printing. Other files are accepted, as a rule of thumb, use the best quality artwork you have available. Our gangsheet builder app will automatically advise you if your artwork is below standard.

What if I do not have the correct format artwork?

Most file types are accepted. The highest quality file you have in any format will be the one to use. You can also send your artwork to our team to check it over or have it re-drawn as a high quality vector file (a one off charge of £10 applies for a vector redraw)

How do I avoid blurry/pixelated transfers?

Low quality images are the cause of blurry or pixelated prints. If low quality is all you have available you should look into having your artwork vectorised. This means taking your low quality artwork and re-drawing it as a high resolution printable image. Ask our team about this service.

Can I use semi-transparent pixels or fadeouts in my artwork?

In short - No, avoid semi transparancies and fade outs for the best results.

Can I print fine details?

Yes, fine details are picked up as long as your artwork is clean and high quality (300dpi). Our gangsheet builder will advise if areas of your design are too small / fine to print.

I'm not confident my design will be printed well.

Contact our team who will take a look at your artwork and give you advise.

Transfer Application & Care

How should I apply my heat transfers?

You should use a heatpress set at 150 degrees and press for 10 seconds, peel the film whilst warm and repress for 3 seconds

Can I use an iron to apply DTF transfers?

Using a domestic iron is not reccommended. That said ! we have seen it done, if you can only use a domestic iron and have no heatpress option - turn on maximum heat, turn off steam then apply heavy pressure to the design area as evenly as possible for at least 30 seconds to 1 minute. Results will vary and ultimately you need a heat press to get the job done right

What are the care instructions once applied?

Wash garments inside out in cold or up to 30 degrees water on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent. Air-dry or use the lowest heat setting in a dryer and do not iron directly on the print.

What can I apply DTF transfers onto?

Most fabrics for clothing, accessories, and home decor. They are versatile enough for everything from cotton and polyester t-shirts and hoodies to tote bags, caps ect. We reccommend testing the item first

My transfers aren't adhering to my garment.

Check the fabric being printed. Some items are coated with a teflon based waterproof coating, this can cause adhesion problems.
